With crimes being committed daily in Gaza, there is an article in the April "Vanity Fair" about how we got here. Claiming the Bush Administration sparked the 2007 fight between Fatah and Hamas in Gaza, it says the US supported Muhammad Dahlan, former head of security in Gaza for Fatah, and provided him with weapons to overthrow the democratically elected government. So not only did the Bush Administration undermine its "democracy agenda" by withdrawing financial support for the new government, they actually tried to mount a coup against it.
If this article is true, Bush truly is fucking insane.
